In loving memory of Nicholas Sebastian Misenti, Jr., age 69, of Cordova, Tennessee who passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Methodist Germantown Hospital.
February 16, 1955 - December 3, 2024
Visitation will be at 1:00 with Chapel Services to be held in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 1:00 the burial to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery both located at 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
Nicholas “Nick” Misenti was employed for 28 years and retired from the Shelby County Health Department. Additionally, he worked for Trezevant Manor for 1O years after retiring from the Shelby County Government.
Nick loved God, his family, animals, guitars and the music from the 60’s-70’s era. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and uncle. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Cheri Talbert Misenti, and his son, Nicholas Sebastian Misenti, III, both of Cordova, Tennessee; a brother , Ronnie Downs (Jane, and their children Stacey, Greg and Clint) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a nephew, Kenneth DeLaet (Jennifer, their children Shelby and Carter) of Bartlett, Tennessee; a niece, Beth Watson (Randy, their children Nicole and Curtis) of Whiteville, Tennessee ; a nephew, Thomas Morgan; a mother in law, Patricia Talbert of Cordova, Tennessee; a sister in law, Chastity Talbert Gill (William, their children, Zach, Zoe, Hollynn and Piper) of Cordova, Tennessee; a sister in law, Wendy Perry (Jose, their children, Jasmine, Raymond James, Joseph, Kirk “Boogie”, Madalyn and Leon) of Memphis, Tennessee; a sister in law, Lorie Talbert (children, Justin, Aaron and Samantha) of Red Oak, Iowa; and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas S. Misenti, Sr.; his mother, Pearl Marcum; his brother, Thomas Morgan, Jr.; his sister, Brenda DeLaet; his uncle, Eugene Barksdale; his aunt, Betty Barksdale; his cousin, Sabrina Barksdale; his father-in-law, Raymond “Bubba” Talbert; and his brother-in-law, Bobby Talbert.
