Ngon Cheung Lam's Obituary
Ngon C. Lam, 80, of Lakeland, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sue Wai Lam and Heung Kam Chiu, a sister, Don Sing Chiu and a brother, Man On Lum.
Mr. Lam is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yuet Lam, a daughter, Tammie Lo and her husband Cheuk Lo, two grandchildren, Jennifer Courtney Lo and Jonathan Tyler Lo, a younger brother John Yick Lam and his wife Shirley Mei Lam, and oldest brother’s wife Po Lum.
Mr. Lam was a hard-working restaurateur who dedicated himself to the industry and his family. He was born in China and came to the U.S. in 1969 and proudly became a U.S Citizen. The family resided in New York for a few years where he learned cooking techniques before moving back to Tennessee to become a restaurateur. His love and dedication to provide his family a continuous better life has always been his primary goal.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 5 from 1:30 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:30pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
