Hello -
I am so sorry to hear about Neena, and wish very much I had not missed her funeral service, Thursday. Neena played in my church orchestra, of which I was the director, throughout her high school years. I don’t think I’ve seen her since her graduation, but I sure remember her joyful, sweet disposition. Neena was a talented string musician playing viola, and I could always count on her to be present on Sunday mornings arriving with her usual bright, cheery demeanor which was such an antidote for dealing with some of our cantankerous old folks who often got up on the “wrong side of the bed” on Sunday mornings.
I also knew Neena through my daughter, Katie Beth, as they had been school friends, as well, and we came across some pictures which so clearly capture the essence of the beautiful Neena we all love.
I will forever treasure that I was able to once be a part of the life of someone so special as Neena, who always exuded a beauty and sweetness in so many ways be it through her art, or her music, or her spirit that shown to all who knew her.
Neena, for so many reasons - some of which alluded to here, will by those blessed to know her be forever missed. And, those who knew her, know, that they were blessed to have known the person that was Neena, Neena Wang.
Sincerely, Fred Wein - Orchestra, Covenant UMC,
