Nathan R. Walley's Obituary
Dr. Nathan R. Walley, 82, passed away September 9, 2016 at Baptist Hospital East, after complications from surgery. Dr. Nathan Walley was a practicing dentist in Memphis for almost 40 years. He was a past president of the Memphis Dental Society. He was also a published writer and talented artist. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Dr. Walley was preceded in death by a son, Mark Nathan Walley; his parents, Gavin and Doris Walley; and a sister, Sherian Sansom. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Donna Walley; 2 sons, Dr. Donald G. Walley and his wife, Dr. Glenda Walley, and Michael C. Walley; 3 grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, and Michaela Walley, and 1 sister, Sandra DeRose. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 pm Sunday, September 11, at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis on Poplar Ave. A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church in Counce, TN at 10:00 am Monday, September 12, where he, his wife, and family are members. Graveside will follow at 2:30 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis on Poplar Ave.
