Natalie Daniel's Obituary
Natalie Lear Daniel, age 84, of Memphis, passed away very peacefully on October 24, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Daniel, widow of James William “Bill” Daniel, Sr., was born December 11, 1924 in Moberly, Missouri.She was a graduate of the University of Missouri (Journalism), President of her Sorority – Kappa Alpha Theta, was an avid member of the Dixon, Brooks, and the Memphis Art League, was an officer in the Altar Guild of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and formerly active in the Madonna Circle and Alliance Francoise. She did volunteer work for the Wonder Series and was very active in the Friendship Force, as she loved traveling. Her hobbies included playing golf, ballet, bridge and she loved exercising. She was involved in sewing and book clubs and enjoyed flower arranging and gardening. She also loved the arts, enjoyed museums, symphonies and plays.She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene Lear and Helen Ross Lear. She leaves two daughters: Donna Daniel Becker, Monticello, AR and Cindy Daniel Coles, Memphis, TN; son: James William “Bill” Daniel, Jr. of Moscow, TN; grandchildren: Kristen Jennifer Daniel, Destin, Florida, Kelly Elizabeth Daniel, Knoxville, TN, Jessica Leigh Daniel, Memphis, TN, Matthew Coley Stevens, Little Rock, AR, Olivia N Becker, Monticello, AR.Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Tuesday, October 27 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Wednesday, October 28 at 11 a.m., with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
