Naomi Roberts' Obituary
Naomi Roberts passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born in Bogota, Colombia, South America to her Lutheran missionary parents, Andrew and Alma Larson. After re-locating to the U.S., she spent her childhood in St. Petersburg, Florida. Ms. Roberts lived in Memphis from 1974 – 1983 and worked as a lab technician for then Memphis State University. She eventually made her home in Carrboro, North Carolina for the past 32 years where she worked for the Environmental Protection Agency. She had recently returned to Memphis to be under the loving care of her family as she struggled with dementia. Naomi is survived by her three children, daughter Karen Deborah Roberts, of Scotts Hill, Tennessee, son Kirk Roberts and his wife Juliane of Durham, North Carolina and daughter Katrina Wade of Memphis, Tennessee. She also leaves behind three grandchildren; her only grandson, Toby Mesler and his wife Marta and grand-daughters Chaney Wade and Larson Wade all of Memphis, Tennessee. There will be no visitation or service at this time but prayers are appreciated.
