Nancy Douglass' Obituary
Nancy Carlisle Tucker Douglass died on May 29, 2023 at 12:11pm in her son’s home in Southaven, MS surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in Memphis, TN on March 14, 1932, to parents James and Hazel Tucker. She was raised in Memphis from an early age by her uncle and aunt, Null and Faye Adams. Nancy was married to long-time Memphis attorney William H. Douglass for 28 years until his death in 1992.
She graduated from Memphis Technical High School in 1950 and attended Miller Hawkins Business College and Memphis State College. She was employed at Memphis Convention Center for many years and was active in several volunteer activities, and enjoyed gardening, travel, and music. Nancy was also an active member of Collierville Central Church and PEO Chapter 1.
Nancy is survived by her sons William E. Blaine (married to Tina) of Arlington, TX; Dale H. Douglass (married to Darlene) of Southaven, MS; and Jonathan N. Douglass of Montgomery, TX as well as her stepchildren C. Lynn Weinstein of Nashville, TN, Darryl C. Douglass (deceased) of Byhalia, MS, M. Eddie Douglass of Byhalia, MS and L. Keith Douglass (married to Dianna) of Atascadero, CA. She also leaves twenty grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and her life-long friend, Don Hild.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 2 at 1:00pm at Memorial Park Cemetery.
