Nancy Ann Beamer Hiatt's Obituary
Nancy Ann Beamer Hiatt, 86 years old, of 9293 Poplar Avenue in Germantown, TN, passed away at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis TN on Thursday afternoon, July 26, 2018. Mrs. Hiatt was born in Surry County North Carolina on December 16, 1931, daughter of Terry Fulton and Nancy Hampton Beamer. Nancy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served for over 60 years in several different leadership capacities including most recent as the assistant matron at the Memphis TN Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband presided over the Philippines Baguio Mission from 1994 to 1997. Nancy graduated from the University of North Carolina for Women in 1953. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Roger Lew Hiatt Sr. of Germantown TN, one son, Roger Lew Hiatt Jr. (Cary) of Draper Utah; two daughters, Annita Hiatt Watson (David) of Brentwood TN, and Miriam Hiatt Fearnley (Michael) of Germantown; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Mr. Terry Hampton Beamer (Louise) of Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Viewing will be held for the public on Sunday, July 29 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis TN. Additional viewing will be held on Monday, July 30 from 9:00 am until 9:45 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 8150 Walnut Grove Road in Cordova, TN. Funeral service will be presided over by President Steve Kennedy and conducted by Bishop Jon Pennington and will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. The family welcomes flowers in her honor.
