Nancy Clark Barrow's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Nancy Clark Barrow of Collierville, TN Nancy Clark Barrow, 84, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024, with her family by her side.
Born on October 7, 1939, in Atlanta, GA, Nancy was the beloved daughter of William and Audrey Clark, who preceded her in death. She grew up in Atlanta and attended Grady High School where she met her future husband, Robert G Barrow. Nancy continued her education at the University of Georgia, graduating with a degree in secondary education in 1961.
Nancy was known for her selflessness and warm and loving heart. She loved spending time with family and friends including hosting the infamous Barrow July 4th BBQ for many years. She supported many organizations including the Germantown Animal Shelter and the Germantown Festival. Nancy was named a Hometown Hero for her work with the Running of the Weenies, which was always a highlight of the festival. She loved to travel and enjoyed great food and wine. Her warmth, kindness, strength, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her spouse of 63 years and best friend, Bob Barrow, her three children, Steve Barrow (Mary Hamill), Susan Smalley, and Brad Barrow (Katy McLelland) and her adoring grandchildren, Riley and Bradley Barrow, and Milo and Sawyer Smalley.
A private celebration of life will be held by family at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Germantown Animal Shelter.
Nancy was a special lady, and her memory will forever live in our hearts.
