Mrs. Hicks was a funny, charming, dynamo of a lady. She was a friend and contemporary of my grandmother from the days when they both taught at Messick. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to do some work for Mrs Hicks on a couple of occasions, and am happy to have made her acquaintance. A gracious lady, she will be missed. Requiescat in peace, Mrs. Hicks.
