Nadine Gardner's Obituary
Nadine Snyder Gardner (Mawmaw, Mommo) age 90, went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 14, 2017, surround by some of her family. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Thomas Hobart Gardner, her son, Dennis Hobart Gardner, grandsons, Kyle Reese Cannon, Dean Clayton Gardner II and two brothers and two sisters, Herman Snyder, Jewell Snyder, Lentine Joyner and Mary Earline Carr. She is survived by her son, John Thomas Gardner (Carol) and Dean Clayton Gardner (Paula); her daughter, Laurie Jane Gardner along with 8 grandchildren (Kim Shaw, Tommy Gardner, Carole Mulrooney, Dana Yates, Chris Gardner, Christian Gardner, Kellie Cannon and Briana Renea Nadine Gardner) and 7 great grandchildren (Morgan, Madison, Ava Nadine, Ben, Noah, Haydn and Rylee).She spent her childhood in New Albany, Mississippi where her roots began as a true Southern Lady. She was an amazing person inside and out. She loved life and went out of her way to make sure that everyone was taken care of. She was well known as the ‘child whisper’ whom never met a stranger. If you were lucky enough to have known her, you were very blessed. She spent many years working at Casa View Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas where her life demonstrated the love she had for our Lord and Savior.Her love of sports was well known by everyone who knew her . If you needed to know the score of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Texas A & M Aggies, University of Tennessee or Duke University, she was the one to call. She was an amazing cook and could beat almost anyone at a game of cards. Her love of sweets was undeniable. In her final stage of life, she was known to begin her meal with ice cream. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale of the Woodlands and at Rose of Texas Hospice for their loving care of Nadine. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow immediately at 2:30 p.m. All services will be held at Memorial Park.
