Nada Elizabeth "Beth" Cook's Obituary
Nada Elizabeth “Beth” Cook, 81, went to be with her Savior on July 13, 2016. Beth was born April 16, 1935, in Memphis to Carlton B. Cook Sr. and Nada Elizabeth Bicknell Cook. After graduating from Central High School she then graduated with a Master’s Degree from Memphis State University and worked as a teacher in Jonesboro, GA before returning to Memphis to teach at Dogwood Elementary School until retiring. Beth was preceded in death by her brother, Walter B. Cook and sister-in-law Joye Bryant Cook. She leaves her brother, Carlton B. Cook Jr. and sister-in-law Flemie Todd Cook; one niece, Kathy Hunter; 5 nephews, Carlton Cook III, Walter Cook Jr, Tim Cook, David Cook, and John Cook. She was a member of Evergreen Presbyterian Church later moving to Second Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 pm Monday, July 18 followed by funeral services at Memorial Park Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 901-767-8930 “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
