Myrtle Hackney's Obituary
Myrtle Robb Hackney born to Jules A. and Mary Wahl Kuntzman October 8, 1915 at McComb, MS and is preceded in death by her parents and brother Arthur Kuntzman. She passed away January 7 at the age of 97. The family moved to Memphis where she and her brother graduated Tech High in 1935. She was a lifetime member of the Ave Maria Guild and very proud to have been a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital for thirty years. Myrtle was a communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mrs. Hackney was married to John E. Robb and later Oscar L. Hackney, which both preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Robb Franklin (John) of Germantown; son, Preston Robb (Gayle) of Memphis; grandchildren, Melanie Price (Joe) (deceased), Melinda Watson (Mike) both of Germantown, Michele Grefrath (Greg) of Franklin, TN, Heather Robb of Gallatin, TN, Priscilla Robb, Hilary Harrison (Bruce), Dupree McDonald (Will) all of Memphis; Megan Farrell Turner (Craig) of Chicago, IL, Ashleigh Lynch (Chris); nephew, Arthur “Bubba” Kuntzman (Linda) of Bartlett; nineteen great grandchildren. The family thanks the caring staff at Bright Glade Nursing Home for assisting her. Any donations in her honor to the cause of the givers choice.
