Myron Don Coney's Obituary
Myron Don Coney, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 79.
Myron was born on January 18, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Ruby Coney and Myron Neff Coney, who preceded him in death.
He proudly served his country after graduating from Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and served in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1972.
Myron was married to Beverly Coney for 50 years. He was a longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
Myron is survived by his wife, Beverly; his daughters, Valerie Hale (Robert Hale) of Temple, Oklahoma, and Lorie Howard of Memphis. Valerie’s children are Rylee Paul, Karington Keck, and Konner Hale, and his great-grandchildren are Holt Hale, Walker Paul, Frankie Paul, and Doc Keck. Lorie’s children are Brittney Howard (and great-grandson Maddox Howard), Kayla Howard, and Hayle Howard. He is also survived by his step-sons, David Sansone and Steven Sansone.
He is further survived by his two sisters, Mindy Roberts (Frank Roberts) and Amy Coney Howard (Gene Howard).
Myron spent 20 years serving as a Maintenance Manager for the United States Postal Service before retiring. In later years, he discovered a deep love for photography, finding joy in capturing moments, nature, and the people around him. Those who knew Myron remember him as a generous man who deeply loved his family and quietly showed that love through his presence and care.
The pallbearers are, Keith Howard, Gene Howard, Frank Coney Roberts, Frank Roberts, Robert Hale, and Konner Hale.
The visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2026, also at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Irene Veterans Cemetery on 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026.
