Myra Thomas' Obituary
Myra Thomas, of Memphis, TN died September 9, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Ross and Dorothy O’Bryant. Myra was a volunteer at the Johnson Auxiliary at The MED and served on the board of directors of The MED Foundation. She graduated from the University of Memphis, was an avid Tiger Basketball fan and an active member of Germantown United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Eb Thomas; sisters Sally Davis of Smyrna, TN and Robbie (Roy) King of Murfreesboro, TN; mother-in-law Elizabeth Thomas of Memphis; sister-in-laws Allison (Roger) Totten of Melbourne, AR, Elizabeth (Gary) Gardo of Memphis, TN, Lydia Simmons of Newark, AR and Debby Thomas of Germantown, TN; eight nieces and nephews and three great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Germantown United Methodist Church, 2331 South Germantown Road, Germantown, TN 38138.
