Moo Ki Yun's Obituary
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Moo Ki Min, who left us on March 27, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born in Seoul, Korea, to Byung Gap Min and Jong Im Lee, Moo Ki led a courageous and industrious life. Alongside her husband, she immigrated from Seoul, Korea to Memphis, Tennessee, in pursuit of better opportunities for their children. Selling everything they owned, they worked tirelessly and, in 1975, purchased Park & Shop, an Asian market. Through this business and Central Wigs, Moo Ki and her husband made significant contributions to the Korean community, supporting many fellow immigrants and becoming respected pillars of the community.
Moo Ki's life was a testament to love, kindness, and dedication. Her unwavering determination, joyful spirit, and the countless ways she touched the lives of others will forever be remembered.
She was a devoted spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, and friend. Moo Ki is survived by her sons, Won Hyun Yun and Yang Hyun Yun; her daughter, Sandie Yun Pipkin; her daughter-in-law, Kyung Min Baek, and her granddaughters, Posey Pipkin and Olivia Pipkin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chae U Yun.
Moo Ki's memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
The family invites friends to gather Sunday March 30 at 1:30 for visitation with a service following at 2:30 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery 5668 Poplar Ave Memphis, TN 38117
