Minnie Lee Roosevelt's Obituary
Minnie L. Roosevelt, born Sept. 11, 1927, entering our Lord's Heaven on Aug. 22, 2021 at the age of 93. Minnie was pre-deceased by her husband Major Theodore Roosevelt, her parents Donnie and Ruby Hollis, her sisters Dona Elliott and Mary Williams, her niece Sarah Williams and great-nephew Eddie Roberts. Minnie lived a long and exciting life beginning in Memphis, TN. At 19 she married Air Force Navigator Theodore Roosevelt for 44 years. They traveled extensively to many countries. She was a volunteer with Red Cross and was a dental assistant to soldiers on the base. She volunteered with the Kings Daughters and Son's Home for 40 years and was a member of Memphis Cotton Carnival and was Queen of Shelbi in the mid 80's. An avid bowler in life, she won many awards. Mrs. Roosevelt leaves behind her nephew James L. Roberts (Jamie), a great-niece Vicki South (Steve) and a great nephew David Roberts as well as a great great niece Allison South and great great nephew Benjamin South.
