Dr. Milton York, Jr.'s Obituary
Dr. Milton A. York Jr., 75, Doctor of Optometry both Memphis and Dyersburg, passed away on November 2, 2010. He received his doctorate from the University of California in Berkley. He was a professor at SCO. He was a Navy veteran, an avid outdoorsman, poet, artisan and craftsman. He leaves his children Adam York, and Rebecca York Osborn, a brother Alvin York, a sister Laurie York, and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lilah York and his daughter Rachel Claire York. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Friday, November 5, 2010, with funeral services at 1 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2010 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dr. York was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend. Flowers may be sent or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
