Millie Louise Scott's Obituary
Millie Louise Scott, 87, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2012, in Murrieta, CA. Millie was born on August 14, 1925 in Adamsville, TN and spent most of her adult life in Memphis, moving to California in July, 2011. She is preceded in death by her parents Bernard A. Williams and Neva S. Williams. Millie is the widow of John W Scott, who passed away in 2000. She also is preceded in death by an infant daughter, and is survived by three sons, three daughters-in-law, and seven grandchildren. Her surviving sons are Edwin Scott of Murrieta, CA, retired, who worked as a health care CEO, David Scott, DDS of Charlotte, NC, who continues to practice dentistry, and John Hayes Scott of Houston, TX who is a senior engineer with NASA. She was also a lifelong member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, dedicated both to Park Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Memphis and First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Olive Branch, MS. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, November 18, at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 19 also at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
