Milagros R DeJesus' Obituary
Milagros R DeJesus, 74, passed away in Germantown, Tennessee on February 7, 2026.
Milagros earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1973 from Martinez Memorial Hospital College of Nursing. She came to the United States in 1974 and worked at Fayette County Hospital as an RN in Somerville, TN for many years. Her young family moved to Memphis where she started working at the VA Hospital as an ICU and Oncology nurse until her retirement. She loved volunteering to the Memphis Outreach Medical Mission and enjoyed being a part of Filipino-American Inc. Milagros was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and loved being a part of the Legion of Mary. She was a very kind and loving person, who enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and having fun with her Yaya friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jose and Inosencia Reyes, and six siblings.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jese DeJesus, her daughter Christy Denise DeJesus Kim (Young), her son Jesse Joshua DeJesus, her grandchildren Caroline and Collin Kim, her brother Armando Reyes, and her nieces Lorina Justiniano and Arlene Samonte Otero.
The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Monday, February 16th, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 17th at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
