Mickey Harlow's Obituary
Michael W. Harlow, a 58-year-old accomplished businessman, formerly of Tupelo, Miss., passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010, due to an accident in his home. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Fort Worth. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. An additional visitation with graveside services will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at Memphis Memorial Park. Mickey, as he was known to his friends, wore many hats, and was a man who was larger than life. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 1973, and soon after, represented Kraft Foods in sales for seven years. He then embarked upon his 29-year career with Bristol Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals, where he held the position of regional vice president of sales and later retired from Alpharma Pharmaceuticals as a regional manager of sales. Michael was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Harlow, and his brother, James M. Harlow. Michael leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Darlene Murrell Harlow; daughters, Natasha M. Owens (David) and grandsons, Nikolas Charles and Brennan Gage Owens who were his heartbeat, and Sharla D. Reynolds (Joshua) of Russellville, Ark; his mother, June M. Sparks of Tupelo, Miss. He also leaves a large extended family and a host of friends across the nation.
