Michael Andrew Patton, Sr.'s Obituary
Michael A. Patton, Sr., 63, born March 9, 1952, passed away November 6, 2015. He was a native Memphian and an avid fan of the Tigers and Grizzles, as well as the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a connoisseur of regional cuisine, BBQ, local music, and all things Memphis. He was an avid reader and master of trivia. Mike owned Patton Supply Company, a local family-owned water works supply business, started by his father, L.P. Patton, in 1952. He enjoyed his business and the many relationships involved, especially those with his long-time valued employees and friends Cliff Waddle, Mickey Springhart, and John Leake. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Evelyn Patton and Leroy Pershing “L.P.” Patton and his sister Carol Terrell. He is survived by his children Andy Patton of Memphis, TN and Jennifer Walker (Allen) of Hendersonville, TN, his aunt Betty Moraskie Turnipseed of Mesquite, TX, and his ex-wife and first love Barbara Patton of Germantown, TN. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until his memorial service begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 14 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue.
