Michael Wayne Miller's Obituary
Michael Wayne Miller
Born in Memphis on December 20,1948- Went home June 21, 2023
“Mike” will be met on his Journey home by his loving parents, Patsy and Wayne
Miller, his younger sister Patty Bogard, and the love of his life Nancy “Gidget”
Garzoli Miller that he lost way too soon and mother to his 3 Daughters.
He loved music and driving around in his Antique truck. Ian Anderson was his favorite and he would play it as loud as he could. When he was younger, he would slip out on to Beale St. and Sun Studios just to play his harmonica with no credit due. He loved music so much that he also played guitar. He believed everyone had the potential to be great if we could get out of our own heads. His stormy blue eyes held so much love that you could feel it. They lit up the room when he was happy, and his laughter could be heard from all inside the house and sometimes even outside. Never failed to make you smile and laugh too.
We will miss his warm hugs and his ability to tell a grand story at any given time. He taught us sarcasm at an early age, and it was like learning a second language at home. He was the biggest tipper of good service I have ever known.
He leaves behind his three daughters: Natalie (Deek and 2 Grandchildren, Mya and Miller Thor)
Mena (1 grandchild the “baby’ Nancy Alice), Amelia (Thomas and 1 grandchild Carys)
Michael also leaves behind his baby sister: Melanie Miller Averwater and a nephew, Christoper Averwater whom he helped raise and found a bond through hunting and the love of the outdoors. Also leaving a hole in the hearts of his only niece and a nephew by his late sister, Patty: Katherine (Ladd 1 great niece, Kolby) and David Lloyd.
He loved as fearlessly as he lived. He loved his family and took everyone in to be a
part of ours.
Take your rest now. You deserve it.
Now we celebrate the life you lived with us here.
Rest In Peace Daddy.
