Michael Earl Clement's Obituary
On September 19, 2022, Michael Earl Clement crossed over into heaven at age 67; after a lengthy battle with Dementia/Alzheimer’s.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents James Robert Clement and Wilma Hurley Clement of Memphis TN. He is survived by his brother, Robert Hurley Clement and sister-in-law Judi Gardner Clement of Memphis TN; his niece Neyle Allison Clement of Memphis TN and his nephew, Reverend Justin Gardner Clement and his wife Elizabeth Huss Clement of Lexington VA.
Michael was born on April 12, 1955 in Memphis TN. He worshipped at Andrew’s United Methodist Church where he was an active member. Michael graduated from Fairley High School in 1974.
In his adult years he was a Shrine Clown where he took great joy entertaining the children at St Jude Children’s Hospital and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. He was lovingly known as “Baggs the Clown”. Michael’s favorite hobby was fishing and would share quickly with anyone interested in his prize crappie catch mounted on his bedroom wall. He could often be found cheering on the Vol’s football and Cardinal baseball teams.
A memorial service for Michael is scheduled for 10:00 on Thursday, September 29 at Memorial Park Funeral and Cemetery Memphis TN with a visitation starting at 9:00 that same day. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Page Robbins Adult Day Center.
