Melna D Frazier's Obituary
Melna D. Frazier, 94, of Horn Lake, MS, formerly of Memphis, TN, passed peacefully in her sleep at her home on September 19, 2025.
Melna was born October 15, 1930, in Pontatoc, MS to Amma (Ingram) & Seeley DeLashmet. She was the youngest of 7 children. She married Charles Frazier, March 18, 1955. She taught high school English, French, & Spanish before raising their three daughters. She was a follower of Jesus, a Bible teacher and she loved to sew.
She leaves daughters Elise (Bob) Szuhay & Leigh Anne Cramer, grandchildren Beth Szuhay, Ben Szuhay, Micah (Laura) Bearden, Sam (Laura Quast) Bearden, Geni Cramer, Breanna Szuhay, Emily (Byron Reyes) Cramer & Zach Bearden as well as great grandchildren Nessa & Charlie Bearden & son in law Dan Bearden. She was preceded in death by her parents & siblings as well as husband Charles and daughter Amy Bearden.
A celebration of her life will be conducted at 1pm, Saturday, October 4, 2025, in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior. Graveside service will be private.
Donations in her memory in lieu of flowers to Samaritan’s Purse or Convoy of Hope are greatly appreciated.
