Dixie Rockholt
She was the best example of a mother, grandmother & mother in love (not law)! She exemplified the chapter n 1st Corinthians 13 & the fruits of the spirit Galatians 5:16. She loved her grandson, Adam, more than life itself. After all, she just about gave up on being a “Mimi” as Adam cane along 17 yrs after Chip & I were married!! She also loved 2 knit baby booties, caps & blankets 4 her friends childrens’ newborns & our customers babies & caps 2 take 2 the hospital nurseries 4 newborns. As Adam grew older & I taught school, Mimi knitted caps 4 Adam’s friends & my students. She loved combining different yarn colors & patterns 2 create beautiful caps w little tassles on top. After she moved 2 Elmcroft she even tried 2 teach other residents how 2 knit! We were so blessed because she loved living@ Elmcroft. She was always very complimentary of the good food & cleanliness of the center. We appreciate the wonderful care everyone gave Mimi there. As her health began 2 decline, Crossroads Hospice took over more intensive care & we cannot sing their praises enough. We r so grateful 4 her nurse, Rebecca & her CNA, Sonia along w the rest of Mimi’s hospice team. Melba’s life was well lived & we’re sure that when she met her Lord & Savior she was greeted with “well done, good & faithful servant!”
