McNeva Kennedy Bistolfi-Sieben's Obituary
McNeva Bistolfi-Sieben, lovingly known as Mamaw, passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 93, in Memphis, Tennessee. Neva was born on June 21, 1930, in Scotts Hill, Tennessee, to Beulah Mae Sparks Kennedy and Robert Parker Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her first husband, Domnic Joseph Bistolfi, second husband, Paul Gerald Sieben, her beloved daughter Mary Diane Duff and her brother, Jesse Kennedy, and sisters Ruby Cozart, Avis Jones, Nina Sue Tewey.
Neva was a kind, funny, loving, outgoing, and warm-hearted woman. She was happiest when her house was full of family and friends, always ready to offer a hug and a plate of food. Neva had a true passion for raising and caring for her seven children, which she considered her true calling and love. She worked part-time at various locations throughout her life but found the most fulfillment in her role as a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother
In her free time, Neva enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family, and cooking family meals. She had a green thumb and took great pride in her beautiful garden. Neva's love for her family extended beyond her own children, as she was survived by her brother, John Kennedy (Linda-Gayle), and her children Linda Lee (Keith), Sherrye Crone (Keith), Lisa Houston (Jim), Louis Bistolfi (Debbie), Robert Bistolfi (Pam), and Michael Bistolfi. She was also blessed with 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A wake will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14th.The services will take place at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar in Memphis, Tennessee. In memory of Neva, contributions can be made to St. Jude, a cause close to her heart or your charity of choice.
Neva McNeva Bistolfi-Sieben will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love, kindness, and warm hospitality will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
