McElroy Parsley Rose's Obituary
Rose Parsley McElroy, of Memphis, passed away on July 11, 2010. Mrs. McElroy was a resident of Kirby Pines and members of Idlewild Presbyterian Church were she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Circle. She was a manager for the State of Tennessee Employment Department. Mrs. McElroy was also a member of the Little Theatre and of the Zodiac travel club. She was preceded in death by her husband attorney Julius D. McElroy, her parents Moses Elbert Parsley and Mary Pansey Parsley and her brothers Elbert Altman Parsley and Nolan Parsley. She is survived by her sisters Janice Avonne Kennedy of Redlands, CA, and Celeste Parsley Stanley of Sheffield , AL, four nieces Jan Stanley Caudill, Ann Parsley Irby, Rachel Parsley Bauer, and Yvette Parsley Hulvey, six nephews Wayne Parsley, Lee Stanley, John Parsley, Georges Parsley, Walter Parsley, Richard Parsley and a number of great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, immediately followed by funeral services at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
