The most Christian lady I have ever known! We will see you agin, Aunt Mac!!!!!
To Uncle John D., Larry, Marvin and family:This world has truly lost one of the most kind, generous and caring people I have ever known. My memories of Aunt Maxine go back as far as I remember. I can remember waiting for her and Uncle John to come from Memphis to Hickory Flat for their weekly Sunday afternoon visit with my grandparents. I always thought Aunt Maxine was the prettiest, most stylish person and her mere presence brought joy to everyone. She always had a smile and an infectious laugh. For me, she was that one person that you could always count on for words of encouragement. I have no idea how many notes, letters and cards I received from her through the years for every birthday, special event or accomplishment, she was always your biggest cheerleader. You always thought that you were the only one, her “special niece or nephew or friend or relative” but as it turns out—that was what Aunt Maxine was to everyone she encountered. She has left quite a legacy behind and many beautiful memories for all that knew her.I’m grieve with you for your loss but rejoice in knowing that she is with her Savior and that she is no longer in pain. I am happy to know that she is catching up with my Daddy who thought she was the most special person he knew.My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
To Uncle John D., Larry, Marvin, spouses , grandchildren and great grandchildren:Often you hear people say, “Heaven gained another angel today.” No truer words could be spoken than those on the day that our Lord chose to call my Aunt Maxine home. My first thought upon hearing of her passing was what a glorious reunion that she and my Dad are having in heaven! My memories of Aunt Maxine go way back to my youth. I remember Sunday afternoons when she Uncle John D. would make the journey from Memphis to Hickory Flat to spend the afternoon with my grandparents. I can remember how I couldn’t wait to see her because she always met you with a smile and a hug and always made you feel special. I can remember receiving special cards on every birthday, holiday, special event or accomplishment. She always knew exactly the right thing to say and do!The love and compassion that she had inside was evident with every encounter. Her eyes would sparkle when she talked with you and she always shared encouraging words no matter of the circumstance. I always thought she was the most beautiful person I had ever known.I am sorry for your loss but know that you will hear many stories in the coming days of the impact she had on many lives. I hope that those rememberences will provide you with some measure of comfort in the days to come. With all my love, Sherry Hudspeth Chrestman
Aunt Maxine was the most unselfish person I have ever known. She always seem to sense when you was at your low points in life. I am so thankful for the times that I would get a note or card of encouragement that always seemed to come at just the right moment. I will always have fond memories of the summers that I spent with Aunt Max, Uncle John D, Larry and Marvin. I know that we are never ready to give up a loved one but take comfort in the fact that she is with her savior now with no pain and suffering. I am so sorry for your loss and will be praying for you all in this time of sorrow.
To the Baker family sorry for your loss, may you find comfort in the memories and in knowing that the God of all comfort Jehovah cares about our pain, He is going to soon “swallow up death forever…and wipe the tears from all faces. Isaiah 25:8
