Maxine L. Ford
Age 101 passed away on June 9th.
Maxine is survived by her son Don and Daughter In Law Mary Joe; their child Angela and Son in Law Michael Shomo and their children Hannah Sandoval and husband Stephen, Shelby Shomo, Lauren and Jake Gustin, and Grandaughter Whitney Dunnaway.
Maxine also had two Great, Great grandchildren. Beaux Dunnaway and Lottie Beth Sandoval.
She was predeceased into heaven by her husband John Ford, son Stephen Ford and Granddaughter Donna Bearden.
Maxine was a lifelong Memphian born October 15, 1920.
Her adult career was at Leader Federal Savings and Loan, beginning there as a typist and retiring as a Vice President after 36 years of loyal service. After retirement, she worked at Fountain’s Jewelry and in estate sales with Tom Fortner. She was an antique lover and collected lovely pieces all her life.
Maxine was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother.
She was a faithful member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.
Services will be held at Memorial Park on Poplar @ 2:30 Monday June 13th.
