Mauvlene Winfield's Obituary
Icy Mauvlene Winfield. 92, of Culpepper Place in Olive Branch, MS, passed away October 17, 2020.
Mauvlene was many things in her life, such as the oldest child of 6, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, step-mother, widow, Christian and friend.
She enjoyed fishing, playing games, gardening, cooking and wine making. She worked as a share cropper, cotton picker, school teacher, bus driver, meat wrapper and retail worker.
Preceded in death by her oldest son, Troy Eugene Hamm, she leaves her son, Rick (Cathy) Hamm of Lodi, CA and her daughter, Darlene (Kenny) Hawkins of Byhalia, MS, sister, Betty LeRoy of Kingston, IL, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will take place at 1:30 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN, 38119.
