Matthew Terrell Easley's Obituary
Matthew Terrell Easley passed away peacefully December 23, 2022 with his parents and loving girlfriend by his side. Matthew was born on May 21, 1975 in Memphis, TN to his adoring parents Terry and Sandy Easley.
He graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 1993. During his high school years, Matt was a star athlete. He fell in love with basketball and displayed true talent. After graduation, he attended The University of Tennessee at Martin. He then came home to follow in his father’s footsteps and started his career at Easley Contractors. Matt enjoyed fixing and flipping homes with his father. He could find the beauty in what others could only see as broken.
Matthew will always be remembered for his larger than life personality. His wit and charm could dazzle a room full of strangers and leave everyone feeling like family. Our friendly giant had the biggest heart and would have done anything for the ones he loved.
Matthew’s greatest success in his life is his beautiful daughter, Emily, whom he adored beyond measure. He also leaves behind his cherished girlfriend, Kelly Brock; Parents, Terry and Sandy Easley; Brother, Scott Easley; Sisters, Michele Mohundro (Jared), Christy Lee (Danny), and Katie Williford (Blake). He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews Rachel, Jack, Sam, Jameson, Garner and Margaret.
Please join Matthew’s family as they celebrate his life and return him to his Heavenly Father. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 30 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Matthew be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
