Mary Teresa Yoakum's Obituary
Mary Teresa Yoakum, 89, passed away on May 27, 2014. She was born on September 25, 1924 in Washington, D.C. to Nora O’Toole and Thomas Burke. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Bartlett, TN. Mrs. Yoakum was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Roger L. Yoakum, Sr.; son, Roger L. Yoakum, Jr.; brother, John Burke; and sister, Anna Busey. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Smith and son-in-law, Dr. Mark Smith; daughter-in-law, Linda Yoakum; grandson, Brian L. Yoakum (Lauren); granddaughters, Kimberly Morgan (Chris), Jennifer Hoegemeier (Dan), and Lindsey Laurenzi (Lawrence); great-grandson, Harrison Yoakum; great-granddaughter, Brooke Hoegemeier; and friend and caregiver, Robin Davis. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. followed by graveside services at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 30 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
