I became friends with Terry while in high school and we have maintained this wonderful friendship since then. Joy was a second mother to me and her name fits her perfectly. She was an encourager and uplifting to me. She introduced me to the Holy Spirit during a prayer meeting! I have so much to be thankful for her - she and Terry's dad stood up for me at my first wedding. I have always admired her as a mother and wife. Pictures - she always had lots of pictures, and thank God, we have them to look at today. I loved her hats. I loved her smile. I loved her laugh. I was so fortunate to see Joy the last time I saw Terry. I don't think she remembered me but I will always remember her. Now, she is safe in the arms of Jesus. I adored Joy from the moment I met her more than 40 years ago. She was “ joyful”, spunky and so full of life. She loved her family so very much and cared for so many of us. She shared with me many wonderful things. Two of the most precious were her daughter and her love of the Lord. I am so glad she was a part of my life. I will always remember her with love.
