Mary C. Thomas' Obituary
Mary C. Thomas, 83, of Olive Branch MS, passed away in her home on February 6, 2015. She was born on September 6, 1931 in Henderson, NC. She was a longtime member of Longstreet United Methodist Church. Outside of being a devoted homemaker, she worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital in the Radiology Department. Mary loved God, life, and her family above all. She was the youngest daughter of her late parents, Sallie and Walter Carey, of Henderson, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oma Franklin Thomas, Jr.; three sisters, Eloise Knight, Allene Brummitt, and Lucy Snead; and three brothers, William, Roy, and James Carey. Mary is survived by her three children, Mary H. Randolph (John) of Olive Branch MS, Donna J. Wright (Jim) of Jacksonville NC, and William “Bill” Matthews of South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Klinksick, Ashlie Eatinger (Steve), Heather H. Randolph, Jennifer Ennis, Joseph Wright (Allison), Will Matthews (Melissa), and Gabriel Randolph; seven great grandchildren, Hayden and Rylie Eatinger, Hayley and Brayden Klinksick, Ella Jackson, Claire and Noah Ennis, and William Wright; one sister, Jennie Belle Paynter; and her beloved pet, Mylie Thomas. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until the service time at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 11 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers are welcome; any memorials can be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
