Mary Stewart's Obituary
Mary Stewart, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Germantown, Tennessee on September 17th, 2024. Born on January 18, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she relocated to Memphis in 1972 and made her life there. Mary was loved by all, and brought happiness, joy and laughter to all that knew her.
Mary dedicated her life to her family, to her church, to serving others and helping friends of Bill. She was a member of Saint Louis Catholic Church, and found joy in reading, classic westerns and documentaries gardening, and spending her time with her cherished friends and family.
She is survived by her four children: Brian Vogelsang (Karen), Scott Vogelsang (Karen), Craig Vogelsang, and Diane Martin (Lance); ten grandchildren: Greg (Alicia), Christopher (Samantha), Laura (Patrick), Stephen, Adam (Kim), Sara (Mike), Emily, Meaghan (Seth), Jacob(Lee- Carol), and Chloe; and eleven great grandchildren: Cade, Caitlin, Cole, Travis, Jessie, Gabriel, Hayden, Piper, Hadley, Miles, and Griffin.
Mary will be remembered for her quick wit, one-lined zingers, and for the boundless joy she brought into the lives of those around her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services for Mary will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
