Mary "Frankie" Smith's Obituary
Mary “Frankie” Smith, 98, passed away December 24, 2022. She was born on July 12, 1924 in Lockport, Kentucky to James and Emma Clark. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years Gerald D. Smith, her parents James and Emma Clark, and her six siblings, Joseph “Buck” Clark, Ann Chisholm, James “Jimmy” Clark, Norma Jean Nelson, Alvie Clark, and Gayle Clark.
Frankie is survived by her daughter, Pamela Smith, son, Dene Smith, three grandchildren, Paige Wenzler, Andra Armstrong, and Will Smith, and many great grandchildren.
After graduating high school, Frankie joined the Navy and continued her education at Chilicothe Business School in Missouri where she met her husband, Gerald. Frankie and Gerald were long time members of Kingsway Christian Church. She was past President of the Christian Women’s Fellowship and loved hosting all of the Sunday School parties.
Her passions included cooking, gardening, volunteering, traveling, and going to lunch with her friends and family.
The visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Kingsway Christian Church-Schaeffer Chapel, 7887 Poplar Ave. Germantown TN 38138, on Thursday, January 5, 2023 until the service time at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
