Mary Lou Schlesinger's Obituary
Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Schlesinger went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2024.
A graveside service and reception will be held in the near future.
Mary Lou was born on December 13, 1935 to Harry Edward and Myrtle Voorhees Ensminger in Raymore, Missouri. She worked as a secretary until marrying her late husband Lloyd R. Schlesinger on August 30, 1958. They raised three children Deanna Linn Lampert, Sandra Lea Moore, and Daniel Howard Schlesinger. She was always reading a good book, crocheting baby blankets and baby hats to donate to the local hospital nurseries. She was also a breast cancer survivor.
Not only was she a loving mother, but also lovingly known as “MawMaw” to her eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and one on the way.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Ensminger, mother, Myrtle Ensminger; husband, Lloyd Schlesinger; sister, Barbara Sherron, and eldest daughter, Deanna Lampert.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Harry) Moore, son Daniel (Lisa) Schlesinger, grandchildren Ashley (Zak) Petty, Andrea (Taylor) Huddleston. Stacey (James) Scott, Zachary Moore, Maggie (Richard) Null, Wesley (Haleigh) Schlesinger, Tyler (Allison) Schlesinger, Levi (Tori) Schlesinger. Great grandchildren Taylor Scott, Ella Huddleston, Harrison Scott, Margaret Claire Scott, Addilyn Petty, Blaire Petty, Crew Petty, and Baby Girl Null.
The family is asking that in leu of flowers to please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
