Mary McCall Rhodes' Obituary
Mary McCall Rhodes passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on September 21, 1936, in Memphis, Tennessee, to George T. McCall and Thelma G. McCall. Mary married the love of her life, James N. Rhodes, on April 1, 1961. She graduated from Hutchison School in Memphis and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ole Miss. Mary owned the frame shop, Frames and Things, in Germantown for 14 years and was a member of Germantown Methodist Church.
She dedicated her time as a candy striper at St. Francis Hospital, participated in Bible Study Fellowship in Memphis, and enjoyed playing tennis and golf with her friends, including the annual Florida trip with the Sand Sisters. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 55 years. She is survived by her children, James N. Rhodes Jr. (Lisa) and Leslie R. Nabors (Dannie), six grandchildren, Lindsey, Maddie, and Parker Rhodes, Trace, Taylor, and Blake Nabors, and two great-grandchildren, McCall Mary and Mackston James Nabors.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:45 am, followed by a graveside service at noon at Memphis Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House or St. Jude Children's Hospital. May Mary McCall Rhodes rest in peace.
