Mary was my sister, the one entrusted with the supervision of her three younger sisters. I have so many memories of her taking us across town to swim, to the movies and the park. She was the responsible one. She knew how to serve even as a child and that characteristic became more evident as she grew up. Mary has helped so many people in her life. Even though she worked full time and had a young family to care for, she made time to help care for her aged mother. And up to the time she became incapacitated two years ago, she was still serving others who needed help. I admire her so much. Her example of one with a servant’s heart will always be a reminder to me to follow her in the footsteps of Jesus who said “for in as much as you have done this to the least of these little ones, you have done it unto me,” Go to your eternal rest, my sweet sister. Your work on earth is done & heaven awaits.
