Mary Catherine "Tac" Oldham Wilbourn's Obituary
Mary Catherine Oldham Wilbourn also known as "Tac" stepped into Heaven on the morning of September 21, 2023 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Edward E. Wilbourn "Buddy", her parents, M.L. Oldham and Katie A. Ashabranner Oldham, two bothers and three sisters.
Tac is survived by two children, Mark E. Wilbourn (Kymmie) and Jeanne Price (Paul), three grandchildren, Kathryn Babb, Brennan Wilbourn, and Joseph Hopper, two great grandchildren, Dominic Chagolla and Arya Chagolla. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Tac was born in Helena Arkansas on October 21, 1934. She graduated from Central High School in 1952. She enrolled and graduated from Methodist School of Nursing where she became an RN. Tac met Buddy at a Southside Football game. They soon fell in love and were married on November 27, 1955. They started out in a small apartment, but soon were able to purchase their first home and start a family with two children, a son and a daughter. Tac worked for Stanford and Stanford Pediatrics. She loved working for them and with children. She retired after 50 years of service when Dr. Jen Stanford retired. She was lifelong friends with the Stanford families.
Tac was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved our Lord and would pray for friends and family on a regular basis.
She would always ask our Lord to restore her sight. Now she has her sight and can see all the wonders our Lord has for her and we can have comfort in knowing she can see and praise Him forever. We here on Earth will be sad and miss her greatly, but so, so happy she is healed and praising our Lord with Buddy forever
