I have a very early memory of Ann. Curtis and I were fast friends and we were five years old when Ann was born. On the day that her parents brought her home from the hospital, Curtis and I were outside playing. When Ann’s mother got her settled, she placed a small stool in front of Ann’s crib. Curtis and I squeezed onto the stool and just sat and watched Ann sleep. I guess Ann was the first baby that Curtis and I really noticed.Today is a sad day.
