Mary B. Nanney's Obituary
Mary B Nanney, 95, of Memphis, TN, passed away with peace and grace surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 23, 2017. She was born on January 5, 1922. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” C. Nanney; son, Dennis Nanney; and grandson, Christopher McAtee. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia McAtee Graves (James) of Olive Branch, MS; son, Charles Nanney of New York, NY; grandson, Matthew McAtee of Memphis; and great-grandchildren, Chelsea McAtee and Christopher McAtee, II of Houston, TX. Mary was small in stature and mild-mannered, but a very strong and wise woman. She had the uncanny ability to know exactly where you were in your life and would share her words of wisdom with you. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, October 25 and funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 26 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Poor Clares, Memphis, TN. The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the kind and loving attention showed by the staff of Bright Glade Convalescent Center and Crossroads Hospice.
