Mary A. Miller's Obituary
Mary A. Miller, 91, of Memphis, died at Baptist Memphis on April 2, 2011. Mrs. Miller was a native Memphian and a resident of the Pointe at Kirby Gate Assisted Living. She was a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church. In her youth, Mrs. Miller worked for the Southern Bell Telephone Company, where she met her beloved husband, Walter Warren Miller. They were married for nearly 38 years until his death in 1978. She was an excellent cook, a talented seamstress, an avid bridge player, and loved gardening. Mrs. Miller was also preceded in death by her sister, Esther “Winnie” Davis of Sioux Falls, SD. She leaves two children, Anne Robilio(John) of Memphis and Edward W. Miller (Elizabeth) of Hot Springs Village, AR. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Valerie Robilio, Melia Murphy (Drew), Ted Miller (Ashley), Jennifer Buhler (Jon); and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral will take place at St. Louis Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Park Funeral Home, “Behind the stone wall”, 901-767-8930.
