Mary Ann McDonald Allison's Obituary
Mary Ann McDonald Allison, 80, of Memphis, Tennessee, completed her life’s journey on September 11, 2014. She was born in Sardis, Arkansas to James A. (Junior) McDonald and Pearl Parris McDonald. A long-time resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, she retired from Bank of America, formerly Worthen Bank, as Compliance Officer. Her greatest joys were her husband, children and grandchildren of whom she was very proud. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, David D. Allison, and her parents. Survivors include three sons, Jim Allison (Dinah) of Memphis, Joe Allison (Laura) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Jeff Allison (Beth) of Collierville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Lindsey Allison, Ryan Allison (Leigh), Brent Allison (Beka), Jessica Grashot (Tony), Tara Allison (Melynda), and Carrie Allison; three great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Kage (Ed) of Memphis and Jane Archer (Sam) of Maumelle, Arkansas, and brother, James McDonald (Sharon) of Maryville, Tennessee. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 15, at Germantown United Methodist Church, 2331 South Germantown Rd, Germantown, Tennessee. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 16 at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood, Arkansas. Memorials may be sent to Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Rd. Memphis, TN 38119 or to charity of the donor’s choice.
