Mary Marr's Obituary
Ira Eavenson, Jr., D.D.S, 92, a retired dentist, of Memphis passed away on July 12, 2012. Dr. Eavenson served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a graduate of Mississippi College and the University of Tennessee College Of Dentistry. He was a member of Memphis First Assembly of God Church, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife Tommie Eavenson. Dr. Eavenson is survived by his daughter, Beverly May, two granddaughters, Nancy Clare May and Abigail Lee May. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 17 also at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family request that memorials be sent to First Assembly of God Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
