Mary Lillian Howard's Obituary
MARY LILLIAN HOWARD, 88, died December 20, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was a graduate of Hendrix College in Arkansas and was an active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church for fifty years. Mary Lillilan and Lowell enjoyed traveling the world. She was a member of the Friends of the Pink Palace, Duration Club, Dur-Arts Club and the Women’s Exchange. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 22 from 5-7 p.m. and funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 23, both at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Memorial Park Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell Howard. She leaves two daughters, Mary Susan Capon (Tom) of Memphis, Jane Meador Howard of Knoxville; grandchildren, Amy Reid (Morgan), Jay Capon; great-grandchildren, Logan and Max Reid. Her brothers W.R. Meador, Clifton Meador, and Roger Meador all preceded her in death. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 480 S. Highland, Memphis, TN 38111.
