Mary Jane Houston's Obituary
Mary Jane Houston, 68, of Memphis, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Saint Francis Nursing Home. She was the daughter of Zera and Eugene Rutland. Mrs. Houston was a graduate of Central High School and Blue Mountain College. She had been a teacher in Memphis and in Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Houston was member of Church of the Holy Spirit. She leaves two sons Robert Johnston (Catherine) of Memphis; Jay Johnston (Angela) of Lavergne, TN; a brother Dr. Eugene Rutland (Pattie) of Wadmalaw, SC, and three grandchildren. Visiation will be held from 5-7 Friday, June 19, with funeral services to be held at 11:30, Saturday, June 20 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family suggests that any memorials be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
