Mary Lou Hayes' Obituary
Mary Lou Hayes, 77, of Memphis passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Bartlett Baptist Church, was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and Memphis State University, was a retired teacher and counselor in the Shelby County School System at Bartlett High School for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joe W. Hayes, her parents, Troy and Louise Carlisle, and brother-in-law, Lydon Ledger. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hayes of Memphis, son, David Hayes of Baton Rouge, LA, granddaughter, Elizabeth Hayes of Baton Rouge, LA, sisters, June Wesson and Martha Sue Parker, and brother-in-laws Buz Wesson and Al Parker. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Monday, April 15, 2013 with a funeral service to be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 16, 2013 both at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to the charity of donor’s choice.
