Mary Magdalene Harris' Obituary
Mary Magdalene Harris, 98, entered peacefully into eternal life on January 15, 2016. Magdalene is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William E.B. Harris, and her grandson William H. Butterick. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Ann and Jim Ammons of Germantown, TN and Judy and Tom Butterick of Atlanta, GA. In addition, Magdalene leaves six grandchildren Teresa Harvey, Ryan Butterick, Brian Ammons, Emily Blazer, Michael Butterick and Kate Bourgeois; and three great grandchildren Gabriel Blazer, Lela Bourgeois, and Nicholas Harvey. Magdalene is also survived by numerous devoted nieces and nephews. Magdalene will be remembered most for her kind and generous heart, her sense of humor, her devotion to her family and her homemade chocolate pies. The family wishes to express their love and appreciation to her caregivers, Barbara, Irene, Leola, and Vera. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Birthright of Memphis or the charity of your choice. Visitation with the family will be from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Sunday, January 17 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 18 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Memphis, TN. Interment will be held at a later date at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, TN.Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery….”Celebrating Life…..Behind the Stone Wall”.
